Weddings

Here at the Old Rectory we know how important it is to make the big day a memory that will last forever and are more than happy to cater for any style of wedding.

Our luxurious four poster honeymoon suite, with private facilities, is made available free to the bride and groom on their wedding night. Guests who wish to stay overnight can also be accommodated.

We want your day to be perfect and will cater for the individuals' needs. We offer advice on details such as the layout and colour scheme of your wedding, decoration and seating arrangements. The conservatory restaurant is the perfect place to hold a civil ceremony or wedding reception; with high acoustic ceiling disco lighting, built in sound system and dance floor.  It also offers easy access to the gardens and adjoining bar. Capacity - 110 seated; 150 evening buffet.

We include extras as standard in our wedding packages, which include:-

• Hoops of flowers and pedestals around the room
• Coloured napkins of your choice
• Cake stand and knife
• White table top skirt to adorn the top table
• Unique gift for bride and groom compliments of The Old Rectory
• Special features for photographs including pergola, gazebo, stile and fountain
• Central dance floor for the evening's entertainment
• Experienced member of staff to act as master of ceremonies

For Civil Ceremonies only we offer the following facilities:

• Small beamed restaurant, accommodating 60 persons 
• Large hexagonal conservatory, accommodating 150 persons     
  
  For 2010 Civil Ceremonies can be performed on our premises at 10am, 12noon, 2pm, and 4pm 7 days a week pending availability.

Wedding Receptions

We offer an extensive range of menus to suit the individual needs of the bride and groom;

Three Course sit down meal. Bespoke menus to suit you and your guests. Select your starter main course and sweet from our extensive Menu Selector. Suitable for wedding breakfasts.

Two and Three course Cold Meat Carvery. - Ideal for summer weddings and perfect for couples who wish to offer their guests lots of choice on the day. Consisiting of three courses the cold meat carvery works well as a sit down meal but can also be served informally. Includes large salad bar selection, hot baby potatoes and crusty French bread. Tea and coffee included. A two Course Carvery can also be offered for 4pm ceremonies or late arrivals

BBQ Menus (May - September only) available with or without salad bar. Suitable for evening receptions. 3 course BBQs also available for wedding breakfast

Wide selection of Evening Buffets

Special dietary requirements catered for.
Vegetarian menus available.

Terms

• No outside catering permitted
• Four poster room is only complimentary when booking a wedding reception and not just the ceremony.
• Minimum 70 guests for 3 course meal plus evening reception on Saturdays and bank holiday Sundays.
• Smaller numbers catered for on other days at the management's discretion.
• All menus must be pre-ordered.
• Max 110 wedding breakfast, Max 150 for an evening reception.
• The booking of the registrar is the responsibility of the couple.
• All registrar fees are separate and must be paid direct.
• Registrar's booking as confirmation must be forwarded to the hotel.
